Welcome to Zentrified Art

I’m first-generation, born to a Jamaican father and an American mother. I come from incredibly humble roots, and growing up in Arizona, I was used to being different from everyone else. I taught myself to draw, and art became my escape from a harrowing upbringing.

I’m drawn to textured art because, like me, when you see and feel it, you recognize the many different ridges, shapes, and patterns that make it a whole piece. It has to be seen in person to be appreciated and understood, and it should be handled with care. I use plaster, sand, resin, and pyrography, just to name a few.

My education is in design and engineering, with a master’s in lighting, so I like to find creative ways to make things work. I’m very intuitive, and just as resourceful.
